Casa Ybel Resort Sanibel, Sanibel

The hotel boasts a beautiful location with lush tropical vegetation steps away from the beach. The rooms are well-kept and cozy, with the only setback being a noticeable water stain that seemed hastily fixed. The service was generally exceptional, although one staff member at Casa Ibel left much to be desired. The dining experience offered lovely fruit salads before 11.00 in the morning at Coconuts but could benefit from more variety. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory, with only minor inconveniences like the need to pay for Wi-Fi separately.

The hotel had some ups and downs during my stay. The rooms needed some cosmetic repairs, especially the bathroom, but they had everything we needed. I was a bit surprised by the ant problem. The service was a mix – some staff seemed hassled, but others were friendly and attentive. The location was great, right in the middle of the island with lush tropical landscapes, although I did notice some issues with cleanliness in the grilling area. The dining experience had its highs and lows, with fabulous options in the morning but truly awful and overpriced choices in the evening.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, right by the beach with a lovely kiddie pool. The staff went out of their way to make our group feel welcome. However, the dining experience was overpriced for the quality of food served. The property's tropical vibes with lush plant life and wildlife make it truly unique.
